Subject: Step and dir
Hello,

Please help me with the Step Dir signals of the Kflop+knalog board.
I need to know where I can take the signal. please let me know in what Connector I have this signals

regards

When using KAnalog, you can disconnect JP5 and use the Step & Dir channels 4 through 7 there. But, you lose the JP2 8 differential inputs on KAnalog.
Or, you can MUX (move) Step&Dir channels 0-3 to JP4 and JP6 (pins 13-16) with the following C code:

FPGA(STEP_PULSE_LENGTH_ADD)=0x40;

"Note that the first 8 of 10 I/O pins of Aux #0 and Aux #1 have internal 150 Ohm pull down resistors. Therefore Pins JP4-13, JP4-14, JP6-13 and JP6-14 may not be used in Open Collector mode."

Please refer to the manual section:

Configuring Step and Direction Outputs

Hello,

I use the JP5 to use step and dir, but this don't working, I use your
software to tell to channel 4 trough channel 7 I use no input, step dir
output, and download channel, but don't working. I use the console to
send moverel(channel#)=1000 this tell me the command is out but I don't
see any movement. Do you think I need more configuration

Hello,

Please let me know how I can tell to mach3 I have XL And XR as master
and slave at channel 4 and channel 5 of the kflop and channel 6 as Y and
channel 7 as Z??

Many thanks

Perhaps I was not clear. You do not need to use Channel 4,5,6 and 7. These do no affect the pins used - the "Output Channel" setting does.
You can use Channel 0,1,2,3 if you like.

To use JP5 Step & Dir pins, you set the "Output Channel" which is down further on the screen. Set it to 4,5,6 or 7 for open collector output (low sink). Or set it to 12,13,14 or 15 if your drives need to be driven high and low.
These "Output Channel" numbers correspond to the JP5 pins 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 or 7&8.
Make sure you are counting the pins correctly.

I'm sorry, I do not know how to setup Mach3 - if someone else does not answer, you should start a new thread with that question.
